As I walked across the beach, pondering my boring life, I caught the sun glinting off something shining in the sand. I bent down and gently dug the golden object out of its grainy grave, wondering how it got there, to begin with, giggling as its shape slowly became obvious. It looked like a genie lamp, reminiscent of something you would see in a movie like Aladdin.
I shook my head as I wiped the wet sand off the handle, wondering what something like this would be worth when the lamp began to shake in my hand violently. Before I could react, a huge puff of green smoke began to emanate from the spout, swirling through the air, blinding and choking me. As my senses returned, I could see a huge green genie floating in the air slightly above me, his golden cuffed arms folded against his enormous chest.
“As you have awakened me, granted are these wishes three,” he bellowed.
This must be a dream, I thought. There’s no way this could be real.
“Well? Thou hast no time to dwell,” he roared.
I laughed. Since this situation was utterly surreal, there’s no harm in picking outrageous wishes, right?
“Ok, genie. I’m sick of being ignored and invisible all the time. My first wish is to be ridiculously rich. My second wish is to be exceptionally famous. My third wish is always to be right. Even when I’m wrong, I’m right.”
The genie clapped his hands together. “Done. Your wishes shall be granted with the rise of the sun.”
He started swirling into himself as he laughed an evil, maniacal laugh. The lamp turned black as the swirling mass turned darker and smaller. It all seemed to suck into itself and disappear into a black puff of smoke while the evil laughter echoed behind it. I stood there in shock, staring at the location of where the genie had once been before I shook myself back to reality. Walking back to my car, I wondered if that had happened or if I had imagined the whole thing. I went home, took a shower, put on my favorite lingerie, and went to bed, curious to find out if I’ll wake up in my old boring apartment or if I would wake up an entirely new person.
The next morning, I awoke in an enormous bed, situated in the most spacious and luxurious room I had ever seen in my life. I jumped from the bed, searching for my phone so I could check my bank account. I couldn’t wait to find out if my first wish had come true or not! As I was walking around the room, I passed a mirror and froze. Slowly turning toward it, I saw the most horrific thing I had ever seen. Standing in the mirror was a short, pudgy man with thinning yellow hair, weird skin, and a distorted face staring back at me. I backed away slowly, covering my mouth, desperately trying not to scream. At that exact moment, a strange man carrying a silver tray walked into the bedroom.
“Good morning Mr. Trump,” he said.
I fainted.
